Having dabbled in website design and development in my spare time throughout my younger years, I decided to take the plunge and head off to university. Initially completing a Bachelor of Arts in Business with Marketing then progressing to study towards a Masters in Multidisciplinary Design Innovation at Northumbria University. It was during this time I was advised by a (lets say, less than competent) career advisor that "there's no future in design, son". I foolishly listened to this statement and for the next few years found myself chasing careers I just didn't want. I headed off eagerly into the working world finding employment in a number of positions including a Stag and Hen weekend planner, recruitment consultant, part of the ground crew for a local radio station and even as a delivery driver for a local florist. After each foray into a new career I kept having the same gut feeling dragging me back to the world of design, spending all my free time designing and developing websites for friends and family.
