I have been working in Childcare since the age of 16 and have an NVQ Level 3 qualification in childcare. Other certificates are available on request. I work with an assistant who also has qualifications in safeguarding and fist aid. (among many others). For additional cover (ie Sickness) my husband is also registered, but not routinely used to look after children. My house has been modified to accommodate children and make things super safe. This includes. Full re-wire, Extension (play room), New central heating (Gas fire removed). Our toilet is downstairs and has a lowered wash basin. The report also says “The childminder shows commitment to continue to improve her knowledge and skills. She has attended targeted training sessions to help support her professional development. Furthermore, her self-evaluation is accurate and meaningful. This contributes to the quality of the provision.” It also said “The childminder thoughtfully and consistently involves parents in their child’s learning. Parents enjoy receiving updates about their child’s progress. These help to ensure that children’s learning is very well supported at home and in the setting.”
