I provide Cognitive-Behavioural Psychotherapy for Adults with a range of Mental Health problems including those with complex or intractable disorders. My practice is very open in that I try to minimise the power imbalance in the therapeutic relationship by helping patients to take a full part in any decisions about their treatment, and helping them to make difficult changes in their lives with their agreement. I regularly review with them their progress and goals for therapy in order to maximise the benefits of their time and work with me. Throughout their treatment I help patients to learn to become their own therapist. This means that, in any future difficult times they can use the skills and knowledge they acquire in therapy to help themselves.
