Chiropractic is a health care profession that specialises in diagnosis and treatment of conditions which are due to mechanical dysfunction of the joints and muscles and the effects of these dysfunctions on the nervous system. We use gentle and specific techniques to alleviate the patient’s symptoms, restoring normal function when possible, to improve life-style and health. Our aim is to reduce the likelihood of recurrence by strengthening and re-educating muscles, improving the way joints are used and thereby minimising stresses through the muscular skeletal system. Chiropractic is a form of health care, which is concerned with the joints, bones and muscles of the body and their effect on the nervous system. It is primarily focused on the spine, but at Cathedral Chiropractic, we look at the whole body and may just as well focus on the feet or the neck – this is because we aim to diagnose and treat the cause of the problem not just the symptoms.
