One of the first Health Clubs in Lancashire..and a first for Ribble Valley! Lee Carter grew in membership and thrived successfully for 28 years, before the move, late last year, to new premises and a new identity as Carter Leisure Club. In 1996 Vicky received personal recognition for her hard work and won Granada Television’s 'Business Personality of the Year award. Lee Carter was one of the top five Investors in People companies in 2002 and was shortlisted in the Best Health Club in the UK competition in 2010. Manchester Commonwealth Games in 2002: Vicky was selected to staff, set up and run the Commonwealth gym for the duration of the Games, providing training facilities for competing athletes from Northern Ireland to Namibia. In 2011 Vicky cycled 450km through Beijing to the Chinese Wall to raise money for Professor Lord Winston’s charities Women for Women and the Trust for the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
