Richard has worked in the IT industry for 17 years, including working for Digital Equipment, Compaq and HP as a field engineer and a third line support engineer. A particular skill is the ability to explain complex technical issues, using clear, non technical language. One of our clients refers to this as not using “the IT Man look”. Richard has a broad experience of supporting IT for organisations both large and small, including Clarks, Woolworths, Thomas Cook and Superdrug. Supporting Richard’s practical experience is his completion of many training courses including HP Accredited Sevice Engineer, various Microsoft courses including NT4, Server 2003, SharePoint and a C&G in structured network cabling other experience includes managing 350 users spread across 9 sites for a large charity, as well as running GRN Computing until the end of September 2010. Specific technical product experience includes VMware, Microsoft Server 2003, 2008 and 2012 including Small Business Server, Microsoft Exchange, Backup Exec, Microsoft Office Products, Share Point (including Company Web), VMWare and Hype-V and a long a varied list of minor applications.
