Thai Massage works on the health of the whole body. Feet, legs, hips, belly, chest, hands, arms, back, shoulders, neck, head and face are all treated and the inner bodily systems are toned and re-vitalised. Not only is the physical body being improved, but the emotions and energy levels are also uplifted. Clients usually experience a deep sense of relaxation during the treatment, and as their system re-balances in the days to follow, they report feeling more positive and energised, with an overall sense of well being. The main system we draw from is Sivananda Hatha Yoga. Sivananda Yoga aims to retain the vitality of the person, slow the ageing process and decrease the chance of disease. A typical class will consist of meditation (dhyana), breathing exercises (pranayama), flowing movement (vinyasa), steady poses (asanas) and relaxation (savasana). Techniques from Ashtanga, Kundalini and Restorative Yoga are also brought in to help deepen the practice, depending on the physical and energetic needs of the students.
