The fine art and antique dealer, Biggs of Maidenhead, was founded by my Aunt's Grandfather in 1866 and was later owned and run by my uncle, F. Roy Stamp. I worked for Biggs in Maidenhead on leaving school and as a consequence developed an affinity with fine English furniture and formed Brights of Nettlebed as an independant company in 1970. Upon my uncle's death in 1988, all records and photographic archives were handed over to Brights of Nettlebed. In 2004, my son Henry Stamp joined us after leaving education - Henry has a particular passion for period mirrors and creating faithful hand carved reproductions and bespoke commissions.
