During my professional career in employment, I worked in accounting roles for a diverse range of companies. As the roles became more senior, I strived to further my knowledge by completing my professional exams with AAT, and this certainly paid off when I set up my own business. Following the birth of my second child in 2011, I decided to take the plunge and Bookkeeping Boutique was officially born. Feedback from friends and family involved in running small businesses told me that much of the accounting advice they received baffled them and there was a need for useful financial information that they could understand. My approach to bookkeeping and accounts is to keep it simple, current, user-friendly and pro-active.
