The sporting facilities at Benfield School, part of the Newcastle East mixed multi Academy Trust (NEAT), are used by the pupils through the school day and then the doors open to the community. The community programme is run by two separate organisations that make use of the school site during evenings, weekends and school holidays. The City of Newcastle Gymnastics Academy has a huge gymnastics programme delivering a wide range of classes and sessions for all ages and abilities.
