Needing more space Leaneys acquired the freehold to no 41 Penhill Road Lancing in 1978. The premises were set out mainly to office space and through the shop plumbing and heating equipment was the main product on offer a small number of bathrooms were added. During the next few years the company expanded and displayed more and more bathrooms into 43,45,47, and then 49 Penhill Road Lancing thus becoming one of the largest independant Sanitaryware showrooms in the South of England. Along with this growth came customers from more further afield and our delivery area today includes Sussex, Surrey, South and Central London with parts of Kent and parts of Hants. The two orders that set records were one Exclusive Italian Vanity Unit delivered to Kingston upon Hull and one complete Bathroom/Shower/Tiles shipped to New Zealand for existing customers emigrating there. The showroom was initially run by Ralph Leaney and other showroom staff, Mary his wife was in charge of the back office. More recently their Daughters and spouses now run the every day to day Business, all of them have worked within the company for many years and have a desire to make buying your bathroom an experience that is as pleasurable as possible.
