Her confidence in trying new projects was inspiring and contagious. In 2002, when I was working in a Laura Ashley home store, developing my love for all things 'interiors' my parents decided to move to Canada. When they left, I realised that I needed to hone my own skills, to get to grips with the intricacies of curtain-making. I signed up for a course and enjoyed every moment.
