The company was formed to bridge the gap between the cheap local companies and the large national companies. Both types of organisation have a number of disadvantages to the consumer. apple’s policy is to find a happy medium between the two extremes. While we can appear to be a large corporate company, we can maintain a tight local organisation through advertising and demonstrating a high corporate profile i.e. eCommerce, strong branding. To enhance this, apple has the backing of a national organisation known as ‘Masco’. They offer support by providing samples & brochures, printing stationery and advertising support. Due to their close oversight of the business they are prepared to back apple’s guarantee. From the point of sale, the fitting team, headed by Richard Twarog, takes control of the order. A survey is arranged within a week and the order is then processed by apple. Delivery is normally within two weeks of survey, and fitting would take place within the next two week period. The fitting date is arranged by the fitting team. After fitting the customer is provided with a guarantee; if for any reason a call out is required, the fitting team will re-attend.
