I haven’t always been a nutritional therapist! Like many other people in healing therapies I started out as a ‘career professional’ and for over 20 years I was an accountant. My interest in nutrition started several years ago when I had some health issues. I was going through a very stressful time at work and it was taking its toll. I reached a crunch point when, after many months of feeling unwell, I was diagnosed with ME. I was initially relieved to finally know what was 'wrong' with me but my GP told me point blank that there was nothing he could do to help me except to prescribe anti-depressants to help me ‘get through the bad days’. I realised then that I had to take responsibility for my own health and in order to do this I would need to make some major changes in my life. After trying a few different routes I made some steps towards recovery but I began to understand that only by changing my diet and lifestyle could I really turnaround my health and start to live a normal life again.
