I opened my shop here in Eastbourne in the year 2000 having been in floristry ever since I left school in 1977.Whilst still in my teens I took a 3 year course & qualified in City & Guilds 1, 2, & 3 at Brighton College, at the same time working in a florist shop where I built up experience & speed in shop work. I’m very lucky here at Ann’s flowers to have such a good team of experienced & enthusiastic florists behind me, we’re always keeping our eyes open for new ideas whether it new products/wrapping techniques or just an idea picked up from watching a demonstration etc whilst also still enjoying the traditional styles of floristry We never really switch off probably because we enjoy what we do so much. I’ve known & worked with Ann for over 20 years. I started at the age of 15 when I left school, we had to wire everything then but then Oasis was invented about the time money went over to decimalization!! Makes me sound ancient!!!,us four girls clock up over 100 years floristry experience between us. I have been in floristry ever since & will continue all the time I’m able to.
