We specialise in bat survey but also provide surveys for other European protected species such as otter and water vole as well as BAP species like brown and mountain hare. We are a family owned business based in Kilmarnock in Ayrshire and run by Tom Hastings BSc. (Hons.), MIEEM. Tom has over 12 years experience of carrying out ecological surveys for protected species as a countryside ranger, consultant ecologist and Scottish Natural Heritage contract bat worker. He holds bat licences from SNH and Natural England. In addition he is an SNH licenced batworker trainer. He also has extensive experience in otter, water vole, red squirrel, hare, badger, reptile and amphibian surveys as well as Phase 1 habitat surveys. Tom has worked on variety of surveying projects from bats in single buildings to large windfarm developments for all European protected species.
