Alexandra Jane School Of Dance was started up in January 2011 by Miss Alexandra Lewis AISTD. The school started as one Adult Tap class and has since grown in size and continues to grow. Alexandra was a professional dancer for many years. Working in Theatre, Corperate and TV. The school follows the ISTD syllabus and offers examinations, showcases and Festivals to every child. Miss Rebecca is originally from Runcorn, and found her love of all things dance at the age of 3 when she began dance lessons at a local dance school. Here she trained in ballet, tap, modern and jazz under the ISTD syllabus gaining her examinations up to the Intermediate grades. She also undertook street-dance, singing and drama classes. Her passion for dance continued to grow and saw her study contemporary dance at A-Level, and now currently at degree level on the Dance, Drama and Aerial Performance course at Edge Hill University. Miss Rebecca is yet to begin her professional dance career but has performed at many venues over the years including The Brindley Theatre Runcorn, The Pyramid and Parr Hall Warrington, the Manchester Palace Theatre, The Lowry and the Liverpool Echo Arena. She has also taken part in a number of voluntary dance projects which included dancing at the arrival of the Olympic torch in Warrington during the 2012 Olympics, dancing for the Queen on her visit to Warrington during her Silver Jubilee, and performing in the Window on Warrington project marking the World War 1 centenary. Miss Rebecca really enjoys teaching and is eager to help the children find the passion and love for dance that she has, and is excited to see their dance skills grow, see them achieve, and most importantly see them having loads of fun doing so!
