Kathy has worked with children almost all of her life. She has over 40 years experience working in Early Years. Kathy was originally and independent child-minder, but soon became so recognised for her commitment to children that she opened her first setting in 2008. Kathy's entire life is dedicated to making a difference to Early Years Education and experience. Kathy has four daughters of her own and 4 grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her Westie Lilly, and her toy poodle Squirrel. Jen has worked within the company for 14 years. She is based at Little Oaks and Little Oaks Fledglings and is Associate Manager at Acorns. Jen specialises in Child Psychology, and is our behaviour management specialist and SENCo across the three settings. Jen has two little girls, 11 and 9 and enjoys spending her free time with her dogs, Teddy the toy Poodle, Winston the Shar Pei and Dolly the French Bulldog! Elle returned to Acorns with her baby boy after working as an NVQ training assessor for several years. Elle is our staff training and development lead with an interest in Health and Safety and policies and procedures overseeing. Elle is super organised and methodical ensuring we are always on track and up to date with any new initiatives.
