I decided I would learn Sage 50, as it was Britain’s market leader in accounting software. I began home study first of all and achieved what I thought was a good standard of knowledge. I then began working for a small Sage 50 reseller and trainer and developed my knowledge even further. I became involved with the company’s marketing and promotion as well as being their 1st line of support to its customer base across Cheshire and Wirral. I increased my knowledge over a 5 year period before moving on to pastures new. I gained a vast knowledge of many other rival accounting software, such as MYOB, IRIS and QuickBooks, but my preferred choice was always Sage 50 or Sage Instant. I became an accounting technician in 2009 passing all of my exams to Level 4. Completing these qualifications gave me the knowledge of complex accounting functions; both at financial and management level.
