We believe that motorists not only want their car or van repaired or maintained correctly, they also value other elements – polite, courteous and knowledgeable staff, a clean and welcoming environment, transparent pricing and guaranteed workmanship to name a few. So we work hard on all the elements we believe enhance our customers experience when using our services. We treasure our customers and would like to treasure you too. James Holland studied motor vehicle engineering for eight years and gained numerous City & Guilds qualifications before teaching car maintenance in Barking for over eighteen years. Once government funding was cut and the teaching unit closed down, James decided to move full time to vehicle repairs and open his own workshop. James recognised the need for an honest and reliable vehicle repair business in the area and established 1st 4 Garage Services in late 1999 at a small unit in Redif House. The business grew and in 2005 moved into our current premises. After fifteen years of hard work, James decided it was time to take things a bit easier and sold the business to an existing employee in late 2015 whilst staying on, to this day, as an advisor and MOT testing manager.
